Two Approaches to the Facilitation of Grammar in Children With Language Impairments

Abstract
This article describes in detail the design and rationale of two effective approaches for the facilitation of grammar in children with language impairments. One program was clinician directed and the other was administered by parents. The focused stimulation techniques, cyclical goal attack strategy, and specially designed stories employed in both programs are outlined, as are the unique features of each program. In addition, we provide our clinical impressions and suggestions for modifying the programs to increase their effectiveness and efficiency.
