Abstract
The space-translation method is shown to be equivalent to more frequently used Green's-function methods for computing probabilities of free-free transitions. These methods are reliable only when the Born approximation is valid. The method of Mohan is shown to offer no particular advantage over more standard treatments using plane-wave states. Keywords
