Abstract
In order to evaluate the singificance of radiological calcification of joint cartilage, 35 consecutive cases showing calcification in the knee were investigated. All cases showed evidence of arthropathy. In the majority, this was thought to be secondary to the calcification. A minority of cases showed evidence of some metabolic abnormality. The clinical features and laboratory investigations (including the examination of joint fluids for crystals) are described and their significance discussed. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
