Abstract
A number of isolates, giving the morphological, cultural and biochemical reactions of M. liquefaciens, were obtained from the conjunctiva of healthy guinea-pigs. Antigenically they form a single group divisible into two types. No antigenic relationship to known Moraxella species could be demonstrated. The organisms appear to be natural parasites of the guinea-pig. No similar organisms were isolated from a small number of wild house mice examined. Keywords
