Abstract
Sequential surveys of public opinion within the Australian community have consistently demonstrated very significant support for in vitro fertilization (IVF) to enable infertile couples to have children. Embryo freezing and the use of donor gametes have lower approval rates, but those who approve significantly outnumber those who disapprove. There was no community concensus about the use of surrogacy as an extension of IVF treatment. Keywords
