Abstract
The paper discusses the design of a scanning electron diffractometer used for the study of the antimony-caesium photocathode series. The photocathode is prepared and examined in an ultra-high vacuum enclosure within the main diffractometer body. The instrument yields continuous structural and photoelectric information on a particular cathode with no necessity for removal from the preparation vessel. Preliminary results on Sb-Cs cathodes are given. Keywords
