The fractionation of bovine γ-globulin by partition chromatography

Abstract
Bovine gamma-globulin has been fractionated into a series of overlapping fractions by partition chromatography. N-Terminal amino acid assay of the fractions shows that a partial fractionation of components having the N-terminal acids, aspartic acid, serine and alanine, has been achieved, but the gamma-globulin with N-terminal valine has not been fractionated. Comparison of the N-terminal assay of beta- and gamma-globulins, and other evidence, has led to the suggestion that in the cow a part of the gamma-globulin may be closely related to beta-globulin.
