Abstract
64 rats were exposed to a conditioned emotional response situation in which a stimulus warned of the imminent delivery of shock. That half of the rats which received 1.2 gm/kg alcohol before experiencing this situation exhibited some reduction in fear of the specific warning stimulus and a significant reduction in fear of the general environment. Keywords
