Violence and Epilepsy

Abstract
The relation of violence and aggression to epilepsy remains controversial. The issues can be stated as two questions: Can an epileptic automatism be manifested as directed violence and aggression? Can it result in violent crime? These are the questions on which the Special Report by Delgado-Escueta et al. in this issue1 is mainly focused and which it partly resolves.
