Observation of fourth vibrational overtone of hydrogen

Abstract
We report the first observation of the fourth vibrational overtone () transition of molecular hydrogen in solid parahydrogen at 19 062 . We also report the first measurements of an almost complete set of the third vibrational overtone () transitions.
