Abstract
Three models of 275-kV pipe-type cables insulated with SF6 gas have been experimentally manufactured, and various tests on them were made by the author and his associates from 1965 to 1967. Some problems for the realization of such gas-insulated cables remain unsolved, and among these it may be fairly important to assess thermal characteristics of the cables when they are buried underground. Keywords
