Abstract
An isolation of western equine encephalitis virus was made from a pool of 20 Aedes nigromaculis mosquitoes taken by light trap on September 1, 1953, in Weld County, Colorado. This represents the first isolation of western equine virus from this sp. The importance of this mosquito in the virus cycle is unknown. Keywords
