Abstract
Both coproporphyrin HI and protoporphyrin were quantitatively determined in the lumbo-sacral trunk and sciatic nerve of pigs. An average of 5 determinations revealed that 100 g of peripheral nerve tissue contained 94 [mu]g of coproporphyrin and 45 [mu]g of protoporphyrin. The ratio of coproporphyrin to protoporphyrin was approximately 2 to 1 and appeared to be constant. Keywords
