Abstract
The conclusion that renal nuclei contain the specific protein receptors for aldosterone is supported by the following evidence: saturability of the nuclear receptors at plasma aldosterone concentrations within the physiological range; competitive inhibition by the active mineralocorticoid, but not by inactive steroids; and acceleration of the rate of release of H3-aldoaterone from the nuclear fraction by proteolytic enzymes only. This publication has 12 references indexed in Scilit:
