Abstract
Ultra-high bandwidth detachable optoelectronic sampling probes have been fabricated and characterized. Electrical pulses having a correlation FWHM of 3.5 picoseconds can propagate across the probe contacts. The bandwidth of these probes is greater than 200 GHz. Pulses have been launched from a probe to a short transmission line and detected with a second probe. A single probe configuration has been used to characterize the optical response of a GaAs photodetector. Keywords
