Abstract
Germination of sclerotia, growth, production by Sclerotium rolfsii were inhibited by the bacterium, Pseudomonas aeruginosa in culture and in soil. Inhibition of growth in soil was demonstrated by a new soil–agar plate technique. Preliminary evidence is presented which suggests that inhibition of S. rolfsii by P. aeruginosa is associated with the production of the antibiotic, pyocyanin. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
