SU(3) predictions for charmed-baryon decays

Abstract

The charmed baryons

Λ_{c}^{+}

Ξ_{c 1}^{+}

Ξ_{c 1}^{0}

and

Ω_{c}^{0}

can only weakly decay to lower-mass baryons and mesons. We derive relations between the decay rates of these particles based on flavor SU(3). Two-body and three-body nonleptonic decays are explored along with semileptonic decays.
