Abstract
The inhibitory action of 2 series of homologous guanidine compounds was tested, with the aid of a very sensitive caseinolytic method, on trypsin, chymotrypsin, the [alpha]-chymotrypslnogen-trypsin system, and the activation of rat pancreas homogenate by enteropeptidase and trypsin. [alpha]-Propylguanldine was an unusually active inhibitor of proenzyme activation. The antifibrinolytic agents, 6-amino-caproic acid and p-aminomethylbenzoic acid, were also studied for comparison. Keywords
