Abstract
Rats treated with Amphenone "B" (1,2-bis (p-aminophenyl)-2-methylpropanone-l dihydrochloride) seem to show a decrease in function of the hypertrophied thyroid gland as measured by O2 consumption but a probable increase in cortisone-like function of the hypertrophied adrenal gland as measured by electroshock seizure threshold, thymus involution, reaction to 24-hr. fast, and histologic study of the adrenal. Keywords
