Abstract
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease (RHD) is a relatively new and economically important viral disease of wild and domestic rabbits and hares. Characteristic lesions are abundant hemorrhages in many organs, e.g. trachea, lung, liver, kidney, spleen, peritoneum and pleura. In the past few years epidemic outbreaks of this disease have been observed worldwide. The aim of this paper is to review the literature on this disease with special reference to its epizootiology. Keywords
