Abstract
The neutron-proton capture differential cross section has been measured at extreme forward and backward angles for 72-MeV neutron energy corresponding to a -ray energy of 38.2 MeV in the inverse reaction. The results agree well with recent photodisintegration data at forward angles, but only partially with potential model calculations.
