Abstract
A case is reported of serum sickness following the administration of tetanus antitoxin. A routine ecg. revealed changes in T Wave compatible with an acute myocarditis. The ecg. abnormalities disappeared with concomitant subsidence of the allergic phenomena 2 days later, following the intramusc. administration of ACTH in 2 daily doses of 40 and 20 mg., respectively. Allergy associated with involvement of the heart, as reflected by ecg. changes, is discussed, and the literature on this subject reviewed. Keywords
