Empirical Landmarks in Social Psychology

Abstract
Editors of the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and the Journal of Applied Social Psychology were asked to nominate empirical works which they felt had made a significant contribution to the field. The primary reason for nomination was the innovative role of the study. Several aspects of the nominated studies were compared with current published work, and the results were examined in relation to the current discussion of crisis' in social psychology.
