Abstract
An inoceramid species recognised from New South Wales, Australia, by Browne and Newell (1966) and regarded by them as conspecific with Aphanaia mitchelli (M'Coy), is placed in a new genus and species, named Permoceramus brownei n.sp. Aphanaia mitchelli is not inoceramid, but a close ally of Atomodesma Beyrich. Keywords
