Abstract
Results of theoretical studies into the reduction of cavitation and peak pressure conditions in valve controlled hydraulic actuators when operated under severe inertia loading conditions are presented. The investigation was carried out using an analogue computer on which a simulation was developed to demonstrate both cavitating and non-cavitating conditions. A comparison is made between some techniques for the reduction of cavitating conditions.Keywords
