Abstract
An account is given of the relationship between the decrease in pH on incubation of bull semen and fertility. It is shown that, in general, a high pH change tends to be associated with a good conception rate and vice versa. There are, however, exceptions to this general correlation, and it is believed that the pH change test, while giving an indirect measure of sperm metabolism, does not provide the clue to the problem of fertilization. This publication has 11 references indexed in Scilit:
