Abstract
In this paper we report about investigations on coupled electrochemomechanical phenomena in polypyrrole (PPy) free-standing films. Quantitative measurements of isotonic length and relaxed elastic modulus changes are performed on PPy samples during cyclic voltammetry and square-wave amperometry. The link between dimensional and mechanical changes in the samples and doping salt exchange kinetics is investigated and a possible interpretation is proposed. Keywords
