ON IMMUNITY OF FOWLS AGAINST THE CARREL INDOL TUMOR*

Abstract
Intramuscular transplants of the Carrel indol tumor into chickens gave 100% mortality, but when the transplants were made in the comb a certain percentage of the tumors regressed and the fowls became immune. Such chickens were also immune to chicken tumor. Immunity was established only when active growth was followed by regression.
