Abstract
Intramuscular transplants of the Carrel indol tumor into chickens gave 100% mortality, but when the transplants were made in the comb a certain percentage of the tumors regressed and the fowls became immune. Such chickens were also immune to chicken tumor. Immunity was established only when active growth was followed by regression. Keywords
