Abstract
We present calculations of two- and three-photon ionization of Xe in the energy region between and slightly above the two ionization thresholds. The resonance structure between the thresholds is treated by multichannel quantum-defect theory and the summation over intermediate states by truncating the sum. Predictions for resonance profiles and photoelectron angular distributions are also presented. Keywords
