Abstract
The positron lifetime in cadmium, copper, and aluminium has been measured as a function of temperature from 80 to 400K. The anomalous temperature dependence of positron annihilation previously observed in cadmium by Doppler-broadening and angular correlation measurements was also found in the present measurements of the positron lifetime in cadmium. The measurements on Al and Cu, made primarily to provide a check against instrumental artefacts, did not show any anomalous lifetime data in Cd cannot be explained on the basis of a simple trapping model. Keywords
