Abstract
The concept of preventing complications of insulin-dependent diabetes by euglycemic management has much evidence to support it, although the benefits and risks of such therapy remain controversial. At present, insulin infusion therapy appears to be the best available mechanism for glucose control in selected patients.Keywords
