Abstract
A succinate dehydrogenase-negative mutant of B. subtilis is described which lacks all 3 subunits of the membrane-bound succinate dehydrogenase complex:flavoprotein, Fe protein, and cytochrome b558. The corresponding mutation is revertible and it maps at 1 extreme of the sdh region. The structural genes for the subunits of the succinate dehydrogenase complex may be part of 1 operon. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
