Abstract
The survival of 88 patients treated for non-Hodgkin''s lymphoma between 1972-73 was reviewed. In 49 patients it was possible to do a re-classification of the lymphoma according to Rappaport''s and Lennert''s classifications. The main obstacle to classification according to Lennert was inadequacy of the cyto-pathological material. The correlation between survival and pathology was studied and a comparison made between the 2 classifications. Lennert''s classification had a good reproducibility and more accuracy than Rappaport''s in separating lymphomas with favorable prognosis from those with unfavorable. Keywords
