Abstract
Addition of 0.5% thiourea to the diet for 20-27 days did not alter pituitary, adrenal, testis, kidney, or liver wts. Thyroid hypertrophy and a decrease in seminal vesicle wt. were evident. Gonadotrophic hormone content of the pituitaries from thiourea-fed and pair-fed rats was the same. Reduction in food intake due to thiourea was not sufficient to alter organ wt./body wt. ratios. Keywords
