Abstract
Gametophytes of jE, kansanum, E. arvense and E. telmateia all have a, massive base bearing upright green branches: columnar and closely set in E. katv-sanum; broad, thin and loosely arranged in the other 2 spp. All are typically monoecious. Archegonia and antheridia develop alternately on the same thalli. This was observed to continue for a period of 2 yrs. if fertilization did not occur. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
