Abstract
Paper electrophoresis of heparinised plasma has been possible under the conditions used for electrophoresis of serum. Michaelis buffer of pH 8.6, ionic strength 0.1 is used, to which 1:1000 liquemin (heparin from Deutsche Hoffmann-La Roche AG, Grenzach) has been added. The fibrinogen fraction travels between beta- and gamma-globulin. Values for albumin, alpha1-, alpha2- and beta-globulins, fibrinogen and gamma-globulin from normal human plasma have been determined using this technique, and have been compared with those obtained by the Tiselius electrophoresis technique. The values agree well within the experimental error. Keywords
