COMPARISON OF CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGIC ASSAY OF CORTIN-LIKE SUBSTANCES IN NORMAL MALE URINE*

Abstract
A comparison of the chemical formaldehyde method and the glycogen deposition procedure for cortin-like substances in normal male urine was carried out. The concn. of the glycogenic substance is estimated to be 10-20 [mu]g. per liter of urine expressed as "Corticosterone." The chemical colorimeter method gave a value 6-8 times higher.
