Abstract
The electrical resistivity, Hall coefficient, thermoelectric power, and magnetic susceptibility of polycrystalline samples of thorium tetraboride and thorium hexaboride have been measured over a range of temperatures. Both compounds exhibit metallic properties. The carrier concentration, about 2 electrons per thorium atom, is that predicted by the bonding model of Lipscomb and Britten. Keywords
