Abstract
The EREBP/AP2 gene family codes for plant specific transcription factors. The first two gymnosperm genes of this family were isolated from Picea abies and shown to be structurally related, but not orthologous, to the angiosperm AP2‐like genes. The two P. abies genes are differentially expressed in different organs and may be important developmental regulators. Keywords
