Abstract
In a study of normal and castrated rats it was found that amniotin (200-1400 U), perandren (125-750 U), and A. P. extract (5-30 U) containing growth, thyrotropic and sex hormones, caused increases in muscle creatine and in creatine excretion accompanied by decreases in creatinine excretion. Antuitrin-S and T and follutein produced similar but less striking results. Castration resulted in creatinuria, which was more intense in the [female]. Hystero-oophorectomy in 3 patients was followed for 10 days after operation by a large creatinuria accompanied by a decrease in creatinine excretion. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
