Abstract
The mean-square nuclear radii, quadrupole moments and deformation parameters of the proton and neutron distributions are evaluated using the mean-field Hamiltonians with the Gogny and Skyrme forces. The results are compared with the estimates obtained within the relativistic mean-field theory and with the experimental data. The calculations were performed for a few sets of the Skyrme forces and for a wide range of the neutron numbers of Sr, Xe and Ba isotopes. A significant difference was found in the deformation of the proton and neutron distributions, especially for Sr isotopes. Keywords
