Abstract
To explain the relaxation processes (aging processes) in ferroelectrics the model based on the change of the screening mechanism of spontaneous polarization is proposed. The initial external screening of spontaneous polarization by the charges situated on the electrodes is replaced by the internal screening due to the charges drifting in the incompletely compensated field of spontaneous polarization. The existence of this field is due to the dielectric nonlinearity of the ferroelectrics leading to the surface layers with the low dielectric constant value. Keywords
