Abstract
Irradiation of the rat thyroid gland in vivo inhibits the capacity of the gland to undergo hyperplasia under the stimulus of a goitrogen. An intraperitoneal injection of an aqueous solution of 50 mg methylthiouracil before irradiation significantly reduced the degree of this inhibition. Keywords
