Abstract
The reactions and have been studied in the energy region MeV. Particular attention was directed to a level which is produced at MeV ( MeV); this level is distinct from a frequently observed level at MeV. It is concluded on the basis of a dispersion-theory fit to the scattering data that the 12.54-MeV level has , , and that it is the analog of the first excited state in .
