Abstract
Differential equations describing the transport of photogenerated charge carriers have been solved numerically to verify a model proposed earlier for the photoinduced decay of the surface potential in polyimide films. According to this model, the photogeneration of charge carriers is of the Onsager type and the succeeding transport is limited by bimolecular recombination. Experimental results for polyimide films have been shown to be in reasonable agreement with this model. Keywords
