Abstract
Photocurrents developed in polyethylene in the wavelength range 360–180 nm have been measured. The action spectra show features which can be related to the corresponding features in the absorption spectrum, and in addition there is electron injection from the metal electrode at a wavelength determined by the electrode material. The time dependence of the response indicates that a long‐lived space charge is formed in the material. Keywords
