Abstract
It is pointed out that from a biological point of view the quantitative descriptions of quantal and graded responses have been kept separate. An attempt is made to unify dose-response theory by viewing the events following the administration of a drug in such a way that the probable interrelationship of the resultant graded and quantal responses can be formulated quantitatively. Experimental data suitable for testing the predictions from the theory were not found in the literature, but such as were relevant lent slight support. To obtain suitable data, special experiments would probably need to be carried out. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
