Abstract
Trichogramma pretiosum releases were made in cotton in Arkansas (1981‐82) and North Carolina (1983) to evaluate their efficacy in management of Heliothis spp. The results show that it is not feasible at this time to manage Heliothis in cotton by augmentative releases of the egg parasite in areas where insecticides represent the major control practice for management of insect pests. There are also other factors which limit utility of this biological control measure in some areas of the USA cotton belt. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
