Abstract
The reaction (, ) which involves the transfer of two units of charge and only a single unit of mass has been studied at 56 MeV. The magnitude of the forward-peaked angular distributions ( μb/sr) is comparable to that observed for most of the few-nucleon transfers measured concurrently. The experimental results seem to imply that, in general, it may not be possible to ignore the contributions to cross sections originating from the more complex transfer processes.
