Abstract
Polarized Raman studies of the three normal spinels Ag2MoO4, Co2GeO4, and ZnAl2O4 are reported. Electronic Raman scattering to levels of Co2+ in a surrounding of D3d symmetry is discussed and wave‐functions of ground and excited states are given. Keywords
